Dog Friendly
Dining
Patron Rules
The following rules were put in place by the same Brevard County ordinance that initially allowed restaurants such as ours to offer "Dog Friendly Dining". So please read, understand and comply with the following simple rules so that everyone, whether two legged or four, can continue to enjoy dining at the Yellow Dog.
- Food handlers are instructed not to make contact with any dog by touching, petting, or handling in any manner.
- Dog owners are advised to wash hands before eating. Waterless hand sanitizers shall be provided at all tables in the designated outdoor area.
- Do not allow dogs to come into contact with serving dishes, utensils, tableware, linens, paper products or any other items involved in food service operations.
- Patrons shall keep their dogs on a non-retractable leash no longer than (6) six foot in overall length at all times and shall keep their dogs under reasonable control.
- Dogs shall not be held by patrons while on the premises or allowed on the laps of patrons, chairs, tables or other furnishings.
- Accidents involving dog waste shall be cleaned immediately and the area sanitized. A kit with the appropriate materials for this purpose is kept in a designated area.
- Dogs are only allowed in the designated outdoor area. Dogs are not permitted to travel through indoor or undesignated outdoor portions of the restaurant.
